AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH...
Jesus told us in Matthew 24 that at the end of this age there would be wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, an increase of wickedness and that it would be as in the days of Noah.
For decades trusted prophets have warned that the times Jesus spoke of are quickly coming upon us. David Wilkerson's ominous warnings in "The Vision," from 1973 (watch here) are now today's headlines as are the revelations of "The Coming Perfect Storm" shown to John Paul Jackson in 2008 (watch here). More recently, Chris Reed's "Fifty - Dollar Dream" speaks of events as they are currently unfolding, both good and bad (watch here).
WHEN WARNED OF AN IMPENDING WORLDWIDE FLOOD, NOAH BUILT AN ARK.
Joesph stored grain when the Lord revealed a coming famine (Gen. 41).
In Acts 11 a prophet named Agabus warned of a famine that would ravage the entire Roman world and the believers responded by sending money to help those less fortunate prepare.
THE LORD IS FAITHFUL TO WARN AND PREPARE HIS PEOPLE
He did so all throughout scripture and He is doing it now.
THE QUESTION IS, HOW ARE WE RESPONDING?
We begin, of course, by praying, drawing close to the Lord, regularly reading the Bible and staying in fellowship with a community of like-minded believers. Spiritual preparedness is paramount!
Then, we ask the Father to show us how to prepare. What we will experience will vary to some degree depending on where we live. He alone knows specifically what we need to do to prepare.
AS THE FATHER LEADS YOU, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
To prepare for a catastrophic event Such as an earthquake or hurricane, make provision for drinkable water and ready made emergency meals.
